Sr. Account Director (Events)
Reporting Line:
Report to: Managing Director, Shanghai
General Responsibilities:
The position holder will have existing relationships that s/he can bring to the company and also be able to take on account management responsibility for existing company clients. S/he should understand live communication at a strategic as well as at an execution level across a range of industries and across the full range of products and services that Uniplan provides, with a special focus on events.
Detailed Responsibilities:
New business development and pitching.
Account management – staying involved with new key clients through the production process (attending key meetings, staying in touch with the client, being on site).
Taking client briefs and communicating them clearly to the team.
Participating in creative development process.
Writing proposals, including developing costing and doing research in suppliers where necessary.
Project management – the Account Director should have some involvement in projects. In some cases it may be heavy involvement but in other cases just monitoring progress.
Other duties related to new business or client management as necessary.

Improve perception of CETI to Tier 1 Agency: Invited to large pitches;
Requirements & Qualifications:
8 years experience in the live communication (foreign events agencies, below the line marketing agencies) industry; with a network of contacts in Shanghai/China market.
Think strategically and to consult clients on their marketing and live communications planning;
Be both proactive (reaching out to clients and helping them to think ahead) and reactive (responding quickly and efficiently to last-minute client requests);
Service-minded, hardworking and with a “whatever it takes” attitude to get the job done;
Flexible and willing to work in a thriving, growing and ever-changing environment;
University degree or above, major from Marketing, Advertising or Communications.
Fluent in both spoken & writing English and Mandarin.
